iPad 2 in the production

According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, Apple’s already begun production of iPad 2. According to people familiar with the project, the new device will have an integrated camera and faster processor.
Furthermore, the new iPad will be slimmer and lighter than previous model. Camcorder, integrated into the front panel will allow the implementation of videoconferencing. For this purpose, Apple will probably rely on FaceTime. The display won’t have higher resolution, because increasing the number of pixels in this screen size, it seems, is quite difficult. Will be installed more memory and faster processor for image calculations.
Unlike current iPad, his successor at the start of sales will be offered in the networks of AT&T and Verizon Wireless, the newspaper reported. From Apple, seems to have given up on sales exclusively through AT&T, once the new iPhone will be available through Verizon Wireless.
From the marketing of the iPad in April 2010 the company so far has managed to sell about 14.8 million units of the tablet and 17% of them are sold at Christmas. As far as Apple typically relied on the annual cycle in the marketing of their products is expected iPad 2 also enter the market in April.

Smaller iPhone for $200 without contract!

Bloomberg reports that Apple is planning to develop new models of the iPhone, including one that would be both smaller and cheaper than that current model, to aid the company in its battle against Android in the smartphone market.
Apple Inc. is working on new versions of the iPhone that are aimed at slowing the advance of competing handsets based on Google Inc.'s Android software, according to people who have been briefed on the plans.

One version would be cheaper and smaller than the most recent iPhone, said a person who has seen a prototype and asked not to be identified because the plans haven't been made public. Apple also is developing technology that makes it easier to use the iPhone on multiple wireless networks, two people said.
According to the report, the smaller iPhone could be priced at about $200 without requiring a contract, presumably paving the way for carriers to offer subsidies that could make the phone free when purchased with a service contract.

The prototype smaller iPhone is reportedly about one-third smaller than the iPhone 4, and would use many of the same components found in the current iPhone.
While Apple has aimed to unveil the device near mid-year, the introduction may be delayed or scrapped, the person said. Few Apple employees know the details of the project, the person said. Apple often works on products that do not later get released.
Rumors of an "iPhone nano" have popped up from time to time, but have been relatively quiet over the past couple of years.

The report also notes that Apple is working on dual-mode iPhone that could operate on both GSM and CDMA networks, a claim that should not be surprising given Apple's use of a dual-mode baseband chip from Qualcomm in the CDMA iPhone. Finally, Bloomberg that Apple is continuing to pursue the idea of built-in SIM cards

iPhone 5 comes with new design

With the approach of summer, the typical time in which each year from Apple released a new version of its mobile phone iPhone, again space is filled with rumors and “reliable” information about what will be the fifth-generation iPhone. According to recent rumors, iPhone 5 will offer a completely new design, since obviously the performance of the current iPhone 4 does not turn out so good – referring to the problem of mobile network coverage in a particular way of holding the device. It is believed that new iPhone 5 will rely on entirely new mobile chipset from Qualcomm, which will work with CDMA/GSM/UTMS networks of mobile operators and hence is more compatible with networks around the world.
Among other things fall rumors, such as support for NFC (near field communication) technology for high-speed wireless data transfer between two devices located close to each other. In the past year Apple bought a number of interesting companies developing various innovative software technologies which, if integrated in the iPhone 5 is possible to become even “smarter” smartphone.
